I ordered the Kindle version. II highly recommend this book for BEGINNERS. It is a step-by-step daily exercise routine which covers every day of the month. You don't need to refer to other pages to follow the exercise program. For example... you start with Level 1 and there is an exercise plan for every day of the week, then Level 2... so on until the final week which is Level 4. I am too advanced of an exerciser for this and wish I got the paperback so I could resell it. Jorge gives helpful eating tips and other beneficial information. I think this is an excellent tool for people who are unmotivated or just starting out. If there is a video on Amazon - I'd get that, as well.
I love Jorges exercise routine. However, there is an error on one of the exercises in the copy I bought, (2004, Rodale published) compared to the one I first borrowed from the library. It's the diagram on page 113.....It shows the "vacuum on knees" when it should show the "kick back hold" which unfortunately is not diagramed anywhere in the book. This error will certainly confuse a lot of people. Hopefully if anyone else got the same book, you can go to Jorge's sight and request the diagram. Otherwise, Jorge is right on with his approach to exercise and diet. And, being on a Vegan diet, I love that he has lists of vegan options.
I just love books. This one is very good, full of great information. I did not lose 6 inches in less than 4 weeks, because you have to Do the exercises not just read about them...
I had tried traditional diets and exercise (think slimfast, aerobics, weights) to lose my belly bulge but had no success. I then started to eat a very healthy diet (veggies, lean meats, portion control), which made me feel great, but still no luck on the belly. I was at the point of giving up and blaming middle age, when I saw this book. I am a believer! Within 6 weeks I have lost 4 pounds and 1" off my belly! I have also realized how weak my core muscles are and as I progress I am gaining strength. A few tips. Although the book says "8 minutes", expect to spend about 12 minutes, so that you have some warm up before and stretch time at the end of the exercises. The exercise photo on page 113 doesn't match the written description, but it's easy to figure out. These exercises are keepers, and provide real results. I highly recommend this book.
If all you want is diet information this is your book. There is very little information about specific exercises. The book is not worth the money.
Jorge Cruise is known for presenting simple exercises to help get firm and fit without a lot of special equipment. This book is good.
Somewhat helpful book. I enjoy using Jorge Cruise books to assist me in trying to reshape and lose weight.
I think Jorge has a good program but there is so much non-essential information that I lost interest. I'm sure it was needed to make the book thicker.
